Join us online this Friday for a special premiere screening of the new POV (point of view) dance film from the site-specific Fall Sound Garden event that took place at Riverside Park in Fall 2020. Hosted by poet and artist organizer Nimo Farah and composer / director JG Everest, with other collaborators joining for a post-screening Q&A. This event is free, but with limited capacity. Register here.
This sound and performance installation film features a dance movement score by Megan Mayer, Leslie O’Neill, Erika Hansen, and Sarah Baumert, with live musical accompaniment by the Free Range Orchestra & Choir, and site-specific poetry by poets Chavonn Shen, Sagirah Shahid, Lisa Yankton, and Annette Schiebout.
Presented by Wavelets Creative in partnership with the Cedar Riverside People’s Center and Springboard for the Arts, as part of the “Because Your Health Matters” community wellness initiative. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council’s Community Arts grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
