Be a Host for Off-Leash Area’s 2025 Neighborhood Garage Tour

Do you have a two-car garage? Do you love the performing arts? Do you enjoy bringing people together? If you answered “yes,” then you could be a great host for the Neighborhood Garage Tour!

Off-Leash Area’s Neighborhood Garage Tour (NGT) is the company’s arts access program where the company travels from community to community with a truck full of lighting, staging, seating, performers, and more. Each weekend of the NGT the company transforms a typical two-car garage into a 40-seat black box theater, bringing joy, laughter, and wonder directly into metro neighborhoods.

A Garage Tour Host is a homeowner who, with our support, takes the lead in gathering an audience for the performances on a weekend of the tour. Hosts are encouraged to work with neighbors to help in their duties of promotion and getting the garage ready for the Garage Tour to arrive!

Off-Leash Area is especially looking for households where a person with disabilities resides, as Off-Leash Area’s mission includes working for equity and opportunity for all persons with all abilities.

Every year, past Garage Tour Hosts have asked to host again!

Water Dances

ADT Ensemble Artist, Kealoha Ferreira, guides this weekly dedication to the vitality and life force of Water. In class, we will offer breath, dance, meditation, story, song, and reflection. Each class will take shape a little differently, staying responsive to the ongoing movements protecting the sacredness and longevity of water worldwide. Water Dances will begin with grounding movement, flow into dedicated time for personal practice/research/reflection, and close with collective sharing.

Class meets weekly on Wednesdays, from 9:45-11:00am, at the Shawngrām Institute for Performance and Social Justice. All who are committed to deepening their relationship with Water are welcome to participate. No previous dance experience is required. Sliding scale price: $0-$20.

Yorchhā Elements — Online Only

Yorchhā Elements offers the foundations of a Yorchhā movement vocabulary. Yorchhā is Ananya Dance Theatre’s trade-marked contemporary technique that intersects principles of vinyasa yoga, classical Indian dance form Odishi (from the eastern Indian state of Odisha), and martial art form Chhau (also from Odisha). These traditional aesthetics are refracted and reimagined through transnational-feminist practices of solidarity and resistance to create a contemporary vocabulary of movement that dances forward our dreams for a just world.

Fridays, April 11-June 13
5:00-6:00pm

Virtual class
Instructor: Kealoha Ferreira
Sliding scale price: $0-$20

This is an entry-level class; no previous dance experience is required. Participants will receive a Zoom link upon registering.

Share Your 2025/2026 Dance Season

This is Mathew Janczewski, and I’m reaching out to gather information for the upcoming 2025/2026 dance season. If you’ve already planned your schedule or have an idea of your season (or when you do), I would love for you to share your plans with me.

I’m volunteering to help coordinate activities for the next season and to provide input into DanceMN in collaboration with the Minnesota Presenters Network (MPN). Our goal is to support potential touring performances that could happen before or after your main productions. Additionally, this work may help open doors for block booking opportunities, simplifying the process for both you and the presenters.

If you’re interested in participating or would like more information, please feel free to reach out! I’m excited to help make connections and support our vibrant dance community.

Please note that there is also a direct way to input your information into the Minnesota Presenter’s Website if you are a Member (which has great affordable artist pricing).
