Community members are invited to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Roots and Wings Institute for Embodied Wisdoms, housed at The Oshun Center for Intercultural Healing, located within the Family Tree Clinic in Minneapolis, with founder and director, Alanna Morris.
The Institute provides a suite of embodied practice for all ages – from therapeutic movement practices with an artful intent for somatic practitioners and professional dancers to trauma-informed creative movement classes for children. The Roots and Wings Institute for Embodied Wisdoms is the home of Black Light Research: a methodology for ritualized living and performance practice.
At 2:00pm, community can witness participants of Dreamscapes: co-creating the world we wish to abide end a 6-week journey through liberatory praxis, as participants work with Alanna on bringing personal archive into a performative context.
At 2:30, the program will end with benedictions and a vegan potluck will be served to toast to this great venture!
Alanna will share more about programs at the Institute and participants from Dreamscapes, as well as theĀ Black Light Research Training Module: Cohort One will be there to share about their experiences!
