Town Hall/Goodale Theater Community Update

The City of Minneapolis has officially taken ownership of the Cowles Theater. We have combined all the conversations from the two of three town halls/conversations into one draft document. We had our first official meeting Tuesday, April 3 between CPED and Arts & Cultural Affairs to start the process of determining the priorities and timeline for creating a call for operators.
– Ben Johnson, Arts and Culture Department

Ben suggests a community-based dance advocacy committee should be formed to respond to upcoming City of Minneapolis budget planning process. Mathew Janczewski will coordinate, please reach out with interest in being a part of this committee as it forms. Mathew will also reach out to key individuals amongst the dance community and beyond to ensure a broad net of diversity in aesthetics, age, race and disciplines.

Express your interest in joining the Dance Advocacy Committee: contact Mathew Janczewski, arenadances@gmail.com
