Seeking Proposals: 2025 Dances at the Lake Festival

Ray Terrill Dance Group is currently mobilizing to present the upcoming 23rd Annual Dances at the Lake Festival – occurring at the Lake Harriet Rose Garden in Minneapolis. The two free, open-to-the-public concerts will be presented on July 18 and 19 at 7:00pm.

Professional individual artists and adult and youth companies are encouraged to submit a proposal for consideration. All forms of dance are welcome. Work must be inclusive and family-friendly. These outdoor performances are performed on grass. Each performing group receives a $350 honorarium.

Please include:

  • Link to dance company website or individual artist bio.
  • Description of planned dance, including length. It should be 7-9 minutes or less.
  • Number of artists involved.
  • Link to sample video of work – preferably of the dance to be performed.

Ballet Co.Laboratory Trainee Auditions

Advanced-level students, ages 15-22, have the opportunity to study alongside the Company as Trainees of Ballet Co.Laboratory. Trainees are advanced students who also study four times a week during the day with the Company in class and rehearsal. Trainees are fully enrolled in the Performing Arts Division at Ballet Co.Laboratory. Trainees participate in all season productions and outreach performances.

Auditions for Ballet Co.Laboratory’s Trainee Program occur annually. Dancers may select to audition in person or via video audition.

Zenon Dance – Call for Choreographers

Zenon Dance is pleased to announce that it is accepting applications from choreographers interested in partnering with Zenon Dance Zone programs. These intensive adult dance initiatives are designed for intermediate/advanced dancers eager to enhance their movement experience. Selected choreographers will collaborate with the Zone Performance Group and/or a new advanced Zone program, Block Z.

Each Zone program offers multiple opportunities to participate, ranging from a 3 to 20-week creative process to develop a new work culminating in a performance. We welcome applications from all dance genres and levels of choreographic experience.

As a Zone Choreographer, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Become part of the vibrant Zenon Dance community!
  • Team up with fellow Zone dancers to create an innovative piece.
  • Enhance your dance-making skills and creative process.
  • Gain access to a diverse group of committed and passionate dancers.
  • Showcase your work in the Zenon Dance Zone Concerts.

This position is classified as an Independent Contractor and is supported by a stipend that varies depending on the session length and Zone program.

Ballet Austin Summer Intensive Audition

Minnesota Dance Theatre is hosting Ballet Austin’s Summer Intensive auditions for ages 11-18 in Studio 6A at the Hennepin Center for the Arts.

Sunday, February 2 from 2:00-4:00pm
Arrive one hour before class time to check in and get a number.
Audition fee is $40. The audition fee is not refundable.

Online registration closes on Thursday, January 30. If online registration has closed, please check in and pay at the audition site one hour prior to the audition.

Anoka Middle School at the Fred Moore Campus seeks a long-term substitute to take over the classes of current faculty facing challenges that prevent them from completing the school term. Candidates need a bachelor’s degree (not necessarily in dance) and dance experience.
