West African Dance Workshops with Youssouf Koumbassa - September 13 to September 14

Youssouf Koumbassa is the preeminent teacher of dance from Guinea, West Africa. Former principal dancer of Ballet Djoliba of Guinea for 13 years, Youssouf has now been traveling the world teaching and performing for over 30 years. His mission has been to share the rich and varied cultures of Guinea. He is meticulous in acknowledging the source of his material and insists on a high level of understanding and respect for the form among his students.

We are so excited to have him teach two open level workshops in Minneapolis with live drumming. Don’t miss this opportunity!
