Sophia Pimsler presents SHRINK/we all need one, inspired by her lived experiences as a licensed psychotherapist.
This new work blends dance, music, and theater to offer a humanistic look at the many complexities of everyday relationships. SHRINK gives the audience a view into a day of a therapist, their clients, those clients’ partners, the partners’ friends, and those friends’ families whose lives collide at group therapy. At times witty and and also poignant, it delves into the challenges that this diverse group of characters experience in their everyday lives.
Sophia is thrilled to have musician and performer Venus de Mars as a part of this production. De Mars will perform live for the performances, lending her quintessential musical style with selections from her repertory.
