Facilitated by DanceAbility Master Trainer, Michaela Knox, this course prepares participants to teach DanceAbility classes for any population, to create mixed-abilities dance choreography, provide leadership and development skills that can enable participants to create organizations in their own communities.
The certification is taught in three modules:
Module 1: July 14-17 and 20-23 (break for the weekend)
Module 2: October 15-18
Module 3 (2027): July 7-9 and 12-16 (break for the weekend)
Registration is now open! Cost is $1,600 for all three modules. A $50 deposit is required at the time of registration to secure your spot. However, Young Dance is committed to making this program financially accessible to participants. If you indicate on your registration form that you are in need of financial assistance or require a payment plan, we will reach out to you to discuss options.
Young Dance is a nonprofit dance school located in the Midway neighborhood of St. Paul. Our mission is to transform lives through movement. Our approach to dance education centers on artistic expression, creativity, and a deep investigation into the art form. In exploring elements of Body, Action, Space, Time, and Energy through an array of techniques, students develop self-awareness and critical thinking skills through dance.
