We invite your modern and classical jazz students to dance at the annual Modern Dance Project Community Concerts on March 7 and 8, 2025.
The Modern Dance Project is a collaboration with Burnsville’s Community Education and Youth Dance Ensemble. Burnsville middle school students participate in an eight-week project, learning new works by Twin Cities choreographers, that culminates with the Community Concerts. We invite your dancers to join us and share in the Community Concert performance experience.
The Modern Dance Project Requests:
- One or two pieces that represent modern dance or classical jazz.
- Pieces no longer than 5 minutes.
- All technical levels are welcome.
- A salt-of-the-earth mindset: no fancy costumes, hair, or makeup are needed, just good dance and amazing young people.
- A majority of the dancers are middle schoolers aged 11-14.
Your organization will receive a small stipend for your participation.
