Come early to sip, socialize, and shop our raffle! Our community of dancers, both professional and avocational, comes together to present this beautiful dance in its many styles and expressions. From traditional Middle Eastern dance to modern fusion to shimmering raqs sharqi, you’ll enjoy 20+ soloists and groups. Each dancer portrays their unique self-expression inspired by music, with lots of sparkle and color.
“Raqs,” which means “dance” in Arabic, is used as a prefix to various forms of Arabic dance: raqs sharqi (Eastern dance), raqs baladi (country dance), and raqs assaya (cane dance).
