One Thousand and One Thresholds: Community Through Art is a six-week multidisciplinary workshop series for adult artists interested in connecting, experimenting, and growing alongside artists from different disciplines.
Led by Bloomington artist Rupa Shenoy-Thadhani and rotating teaching artists, the series welcomes writers, dancers, musicians, visual artists, performers, and other creatives at all stages of practice.
Tuesdays, 6:00–8:15pm, September 22–October 27
Location: The Works Museum in Bloomington
Price: $185 for Bloomington residents; $200 for non-residents
Registration is open through Monday, September 14.
Each two-hour session includes:
- A guest-led creative practice or prompt
- Embodiment exercises to support creativity and connection
- Independent creative work time
- Group reflection and conversation
The workshop is grounded in respect, reciprocity, experimentation, care, play, collaborative learning, and slow and reflective practice.
Workshops are held weekly and in person. This workshop is for adult artists seeking connection, creative growth, and community through art. Cohorts are intentionally small, with up to 12 participants, to encourage meaningful connection and exchange.
