Submit for the Rejects Cohort 24/25 show, running January 17-18 at Mixed Blood Theater at 7:00pm.
If you’re interested, come join us as we all fuel this fire of grassroots art creation!
Eligibility: Now open to any rejected work. If you have a project that has not come to fruition in the way you wanted it to, you are eligible. It does not need to be a work that was literally rejected, but more so an open call/platform for any works that have not had the means to get made or performed again.
To apply, fill out this survey by November 14 – deadline extended!
We have space to accommodate 32 artists/groups; if we receive more applicants than this we will do a lottery. You will be assigned a number when you submit your survey. More information. We will notify you if you are in or not by November 15.
What is Offered:
6-minute time slot on Friday and/or Saturday to present a rejected work (see above)
Marley over wood floor, stage dimensions of 32′ x 24′
20-minute tech time with a lighting designer provided
Marketing/advertising for the show
Video and photography of the show
Social engagement/workshop to meet the cohort on January 12 (not required, but encouraged if you are available)
Unfortunately, there is no stipend promised. We hope to break even with ticket sales. If any profit from donations or ticket sales is made, it will be split among the companies.
Reach out in a co-email to lily.conforti1@gmail.com and javgrezzodance@gmail.com if you have questions or comments.
