I, Alys Ayumi Ogura, am seeking 2-4 dancers/movers for short performance pieces I plan to develop in 2026. In the first phase of this project, I hope to find individuals who are available to work from June 10-21. I would like to workshop how a group of dancers can draw from their life experiences to create movement materials.
I will be holding two free workshops to welcome anyone curious about participating in the creation of new work.
Sunday, June 7, from 1:00-3:00pm
Tuesday, June 9, from 6:00-8:00pm
Location: Rosy Simas Danse, Studio 331 in the Northrup King Building
Each workshop will be the same. People are welcome to attend one or both. I am particularly eager to meet performers of East Asian decent or those who have experience living in places where English isn’t the most dominate language.

Project Details
Rehearsals: Between June 10–June 21; Work in Progress Showing on Sunday, June 21. Some day time and evenings.
Applicants: Ideal candidates are responsible, comfortable with improvisation and weight-sharing, and open to new ideas and collaboration.
Stipend: $250 – $500
