Apply for Workroom Residency with Young Dance - August 16

Calling all BIPOC artists and artists with disabilities to apply to our Workroom Residency!

Workroom is a Young Dance residency program centering BIPOC artists and artists with disabilities with their creative research and rehearsal process. Artists will have access to Young Dance dance studios (with Marley floors and no mirrors). More details about the studio space can be provided upon request. We hope to support artists should they choose to share their work publicly, however this is not a requirement. Time periods for Workroom residencies are slotted for October-January and February-May.

See the application for more details.

Application deadline: Monday, August 16, 2021 at 12:00pm.
If they are accepted into the residency, artists notified by Wednesday, September 15, 2021.

Come create, dream, and manifest at Young Dance!

Contact chitra@youngdance.org with any questions about the application or process.
*Please note these are residencies designed for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color artists as well as artists with disabilities.

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
