Ananya Dance Theatre: Yorchhā Elements – Virtual Offering

In this open-class series, participants learn essential Yorchhā exercises, embody justice-driven choreography, and engage with Ananya Dance Theatre’s (ADT) global community of feminist movers, all from the comfort of home. Yorchhā is Ananya Dance Theatre’s trademarked contemporary technique, which intersects the principles of Vinyasa Yoga, traditional Indian dance form Odissi, and martial art form Chhau, and reinterprets them through a transnational-feminist framework to create a contemporary movement vocabulary that dances forward our collective dreams for a just world. Recommended for adults at all levels of experience (including no experience) who are looking for opportunities to move in community.
