In order for us to find strong alignment in any yoga posture, we have to first connect ourselves to the ground below the mat. How can we build a yoga practice that moves from the land up? How are land’s systems of reciprocity also building blocks for regenerative body practices? In this weekly Vinyasa class, Ananya Dance Theatre artist Kealoha Ferreira brings the postural, breath, and meditation practices of Yoga into alignment with indigenous philosophies of relationality. All are welcome to participate. Tools and modifications will be provided for multiple points of access into each class. Mats and blocks are encouraged, with limited supplies available in-person at the Institute.
