The Battle

October 18 @ 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Black Label Movement is putting on a pretty incredible event this Fall to further the research and awareness of Breast Cancer.

What if hundreds of people could help advance cancer research—not just by watching it, supporting it, or learning about it, but by becoming part of how new ideas are explored? All on the field at Huntington Bank Stadium.

This October 18th, choreographer Carl Flink, Black Label Movement, University of Minnesota researchers, the UMN Marching Band, students, and community members will transform Huntington Bank Stadium into a living laboratory for community-driven research working to find a cure for breast cancer and beyond.
Registering for the event is FREE (donation to our work is optional). Come join us as a participant in the largest Bodystorm we have ever done or choose to observe the fun.

Event Timeline:
1:00 – Check in
1:30 – 4:00 – Rehearsal on the field
4:00 – 5:00 – Break for a provided dinner
5:00 – 6:45 – Shoot video of the bodystorm
6:45 – 7:00 – Create pink ribbon on the field

The afternoon will culminate with hundreds of participants joining to form a giant pink ribbon stretching across the stadium field—a living symbol of hope and a reminder that no one fights breast cancer alone.

Presented through The Moving Cell Project, The Battle builds on more than fifteen years of collaboration between artists and biomedical researchers using the Bodystorming System—an innovative approach that uses human movement to model complex biological behavior in real time. Every breakthrough begins with a new way of seeing. By physically simulating how cells move, interact, and respond, Bodystorming gives researchers another way to visualize systems, test hypotheses, and generate new questions.

We are really hopeful that you will be able to join us and help us spread the word. This event will be an incredible opportunity for us to continue our research for a cure as well as raise awareness to a well deserved cause.
