Join us in celebrating a remarkable 30 years of James Sewell Ballet! Powerful performers showcase favorite gems from the past along with new hits, highlighting the company’s distinct voice and vision. This program will also feature a new dazzling work from Da’Rius Malone. Live musicians will accompany select works.

James Sewell Ballet was founded in NYC by James Sewell and Sally Rousse and brought to Minnesota in 1993. Combining their expertise, vision and chutzpah they envisioned a close-knit company of dance artists willing to both challenge their physical limits and expand their notions about ballet. Over three decades later, critically acclaimed JSB performances move and delight audiences across the country.

James Sewell Ballet’s 30th Anniversary Retrospective is presented by The Cowles Center and James Sewell Ballet as part of The Cowles Center’s 21/22 Season.
