Dance/Movement Therapy is a approach that uses embodied creativity, body awareness, movement, and dance to promote change, growth, and healing. This class will use discussion and experiential exercises to introduce the field of Dance/Movement Therapy (DMT) and will focus on techniques for using movement, and non-verbal expression to promote clinical goals. Multicultural and diversity perspective will be emphasized throughout the course. Approved by the American Dance Therapy Association, for Alternate Route R-DMT credit.
