dance cuba DREAMS OF FLIGHT was produced and directed by Minnesota native Cynthia Newport who assembled an accomplished production team including Academy Award-winning Americans and internationally acclaimed Cubans. With remarkable access to individuals and institutions in both countries, the film is suffused with an original poignant score composed and performed by multi-Grammy winner Chucho Valdes.
