Join Artist-in-Residence Brenna Mosser at a work-in-progress performance for her upcoming work Biomes. Biomes is a contemporary dance production that unearths hard-earned love with our natural environments. This work explores three perspectives: humans, plants, and an outside eye that zooms out to the biomes that make up the ecosystems on our planet. It pulls inspiration from Zoë Schlanger’s book “The Light Eaters,” Richard Powers’ book “The Overstory”, and the perspectives of scientists and community members associated with the University of Minnesota’s Cedar Creek Ecosystem Science Reserve and the CBS Conservatory and Botanical Collections, where Mosser has been Artist-in-Residence since 2024.

20 minute dance performance followed by a 20 minute Q&A with the artist.
This is a free event. The site is located off a flat gravel road, a 2 minute walk from the main entrance of the CBS Conservatory. Limited seating available.
