September 13, 2025 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Experience the premiere of composer JG Everest’s new Amador Prairie Sound Garden at Wild River State Park, part of the site-specific Festival Of Belonging over four weekends in August & September 2025 at Wild River.

Featuring a site-specific movement score performed by dancers Leslie O’Neill, Eva Mohn, Sarah Baumert, Suzette Gilreath, Megan Mayer, and Erika Hansen, and interpretive talk by Park Naturalist Sean Hoppes. The new immersive sound + performance installation on the wild prairie features a spatial music score played through 20 small, independent speakers, each playing a different part of the whole piece of music, with site-specific photography and poetry.

Limited Capacity, Advance Registration Required for this performance. Performance is FREE, but MN State Parks vehicle permit required. No registration required for other events in the Festival.

The Festival of Belonging is the culminating project of composer / director JG Everest’s yearlong MNPAiR Artist Residency at Wild River State Park, and takes place across four weekends in August and September 2025, featuring site-specific performance installations at different sites around the park, with different lineups each weekend. Featuring a multi-disciplinary mix of live music, storytelling, dance, poetry, visual art, and interactive workshops and nature walks, the Festival of Belonging offers a wide variety of experiences and ways to engage this special place along the St Croix River.

This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the East Central Regional Arts Council with funds appropriated by the Minnesota State Legislature from its general fund.
